We are Los Bexareños Genealogical and Historical Society.

Los Bexareños is a 501(c)(3) organization chartered in 1987, by founder, Gloria Cadena. We are a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to Hispanic history and ancestral research. The Society promotes public interest in history and genealogy through outreach and educational programs.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote awareness of Hispanic genealogy and history through publications, public forums, research, consultations, education, and to promote the preservation of archival material for public research.

The Gloria Cadena Scholarship

We encourage and support students of Hispanic heritage in their pursuit of higher education and who might desire an introduction to learning genealogy, as well as research about their family ancestral history. This organization has established one yearly $1,000.00 scholarship, in honor of our founder, Mrs. Gloria Cadena. It is our hope that this project will lead to a lifetime of research and pride in Hispanic heritage.
